Car Charter

IDR 900.000

Toyota Innova (or Innova Reborn): This is a very popular choice. Itโ€™s known for being spacious, comfortable, and having good air conditioning, making it ideal for longer journeys. It can comfortably seat 4-5 passengers with luggage, or 6 passengers with minimal luggage.

IDR 650.000

Toyota Avanza / Daihatsu Xenia / Suzuki Ertiga: While often listed as 5-seaters, these can sometimes fit 6 people in a pinch, especially for shorter distances, but it will be a tight squeeze, and luggage space will be very limited. If you truly have 6 adults and luggage, an Innova or a mini-van is a better bet.

Cost: Expect to pay around IDR 650,000 to IDR 900,000 (approximately $40 โ€“ $60 USD) for a full day (8-10 hours). Prices can vary based on the vehicle, distance, and duration. Half-day charters are typically IDR 350,000 to IDR 500,000.

Inclusions:

What is (Almost Always) Included:

  1. Private Air-Conditioned Vehicle: You’ll have a comfortable car (like a Toyota Avanza, Suzuki APV, or Toyota Innova, depending on your group size) exclusively for your use. Air conditioning is standard and essential in Bali’s climate.
  2. English-Speaking Driver: Your driver will be local and fluent enough in English to communicate, understand your itinerary, and provide basic information or recommendations. They often act as an informal guide.
  3. Fuel/Petrol: The cost of gasoline for the duration of your charter is covered.
  4. Parking Fees: Fees for parking at attractions, restaurants, or other stops are typically included.
  5. Toll Road Fees: If your route involves any toll roads, these are usually covered.
  6. Driver’s Meal/Accommodation (for full day/multi-day): For full-day charters, the driver’s meals are generally covered by the rate you pay, or they will take their own break. If you charter for multiple days and stay overnight in a different area, the driver’s accommodation would also be included in the charter price.
  7. Flexibility: While you’ll discuss an itinerary beforehand, you generally have the flexibility to adjust it on the fly, spend more or less time at a particular spot (within the charter hours), or add spontaneous stops.

Not included:

  1. Entrance Fees to Attractions: You’ll need to pay for your own tickets to temples, parks, waterfalls, cultural shows (like Kecak dance), museums, etc.
  2. Activity Tickets: If you plan to do specific activities like white-water rafting, ATV riding, Bali swings, cooking classes, or water sports, the cost for these activities is separate.
  3. Your Meals & Drinks: Any food or beverages you consume throughout the day are at your own expense. While it’s a kind gesture to offer to buy your driver a meal or drink, it’s not expected as part of the charter fee.
  4. Personal Expenses: Souvenirs, shopping, and any other personal purchases are, of course, not included.
  5. Overtime Charges: If you exceed the agreed-upon charter duration (e.g., more than 10 hours), an hourly overtime rate will apply 10 % from the prices.
  6. Tipping: While not mandatory, tipping your driver for good service is customary and highly appreciated in Bali. There’s no fixed rule, but IDR 50,000 – IDR 100,000 for a full day of excellent service is a common guideline.

Remote Area Surcharges

Car charters cover the popular tourist areas (South Bali, Ubud, Central Bali), We will charge extra fee IDR 300.000 if your itinerary takes you to very distant or remote regions like:

  • Far North (Lovina, Pemuteran, Menjangan)
  • Far East (Amed, Tulamben)
  • Far West (Gilimanuk) This is to cover extra fuel and time. Always clarify this if your plans include these less common areas.
