Description
Sea Walker, also commonly known as “Ocean Walker” or “Helmet Diving,” is a popular and unique underwater experience in Bali. It allows you to explore the seabed and interact with marine life without needing to know how to swim or dive.
- Helmet System: You wear a specially designed, clear helmet that is connected by a hose to an oxygen supply above the water (usually from a pontoon or boat). This helmet allows you to breathe naturally underwater, just like you do on land.
- No Swimming Skills Needed: Because you’re walking on the seabed and breathing normally, it’s perfect for non-swimmers, those not confident in the water, or people who don’t want to get their hair or face wet. You can even wear glasses or contact lenses inside the helmet!
- Underwater Walk: You descend a ladder from a pontoon or boat to the seabed (typically 3-5 meters deep). Once at the bottom, you walk along a designated path, often holding onto a rail, observing coral reefs and marine life.
- Fish Interaction: A highlight is often the opportunity to feed the fish, which will swarm around you for an incredible up-close experience.
- Professional Guides: Experienced instructors accompany you underwater at all times to ensure your safety and guide you.
